Relationships are rarely easy. Sure, they can run along smoothly for a while but eventually, you will hit a snag and suddenly things will be a whole lot tougher than they were before. Most of the time, these issues will be fairly minor in nature and you’ll be able to get past them with ease, but only if you work on them. If you fail to do so and you let things fester, then minor issues can become big problems and that is the last thing you want when you have a family to deal with.

With that in mind, here are some of the most common relationship problems, with some sensible ways to solve them, to help you ensure those little issues don’t become huge problems:

Spending More Time Apart Than Together

This is really common in the modern world where most couples have to juggle long work days with childcare and a whole host of other commitments, and it can lead to many a good couple drifting apart over the years.

If you’re experiencing this issue in your relationship, the simplest thing you can do is learn to say “No” more often. The more time you can free up by turning down extra overtime or nights out with the guys in favour of your relationship, the more time you can spend together, strengthening your bond and having fun as a couple and a family. All it takes is one little world, and despite what you might think, most people will understand that you have other commitments that are more pressing.

Loss of Enthusiasm in the Bedroom

Most people lose interest in sex at some point in their lives – it’s perfectly natural – but if it goes on for too long, it can become a major problem for one or both parties, and one that you will need to deal with if you want to ensure that you are both satisfied with the way things are.

Fixing this will depend on what the issue is. For example, if you are struggling to perform, seeing a doctor might help you; you can also see ED discussed here and that could be quite helpful. If you aren’t getting intimate enough because one or both of you are tired, then saying no more often as mentioned above, or the least busy party taking up some of the slack for a while might help more, or if you’re self-conscious about your body, hitting the gym for a while might be all that it takes. Oh, and communicate with each other instead of ignoring the issue too!

Problem Parents

Problems with the in-laws can cause some pretty major arguments especially when it feels like they are always on your case questioning your parenting decisions or making out that their own child is all sweetness and light while you’re the bad guy in the relationship, which is why it is definitely something you need to address.

Fixing this can be tricky. The simplest solution is to turn the other cheek and accept that nothing you do will ever be good enough and let it wash over you. If you can;’t do that, talk to your partner and let them know how you feel and ask them to have a word. If that fails, then you might have to take a backseat and minimise the amount of time you spend around them. Your relationship and your family are what matter the most, so protect them at all costs.

Time to work on your issues!
